Amanda W. Merchant, Ph.D., ABPP

Dr. Merchant is a board certified clinical health psychologist. She is licensed in Kentucky, West Virginia, Mississippi and Indiana. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Boston University and her Masters and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Chicago Medical School. She completed a clinical and health psychology internship at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center and a postdoctoral fellowship in primary care psychology at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center.

She is the past president and immediate past health psychology representative of the Kentucky Psychological Association. She is a board member of the Kentucky Pain Society and American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. She specializes in chronic pain, GI cardiology, diabetes, anxiety, dermatological disorders, pre-surgical spinal cord stimulator, intrathecal pain pump evaluations, bariatric and sleep.
